1953 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Additional Info:
1953 Chevrolet 210 2-door post. Nice clean driver quality car. Original equipment, including 235 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual shift on the column, and 6 volt electrical system. Selling for my father, who is currently the secondowner. Car was originally from Nashville TN. The carrecently went through a frame on restoration. Re-painted, grill and emblems re-chromed, Stainless trim straightened and polished, new bumpers, new tires, new brakes, brake cylinders, brake lines, clutch, carpet, door panels re-covered, new aluminum radiator. Also have a pair of unpainted fender skirts if desired. Verynice presentable car.
This car getsa lot of attention and looks great, but it is not a top show winner. The headliner is stained andwind lace is frayed. Seats could use new covers as well. The paint is shiny and smooth (single stage urethane) but has an area on the left rearquarter panel near the window that has a few spots of "fish-eye". The engine is all original and to our knowledge has never been rebuilt. starts and runs great but does smoke when getting on it. I believe it is just the valve seals that need replaced.
This car has a lot of potential for the new owner. You can either drive it like it is, make a nice modified cruiser (split manifold / lowered / White walls / etc), or transplant a V8 drive train. Either way, this will be a nice solid car to enjoy for years to come.
If you have any questions, feel free to call Tim at 217-201-4191. I will not disclose the reserve but in my opinion it is very fairly priced.
