1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Additional Info:
1970 Chevelle SS 396 Triple black. This car has just undergone a complete nut and bolt frame off restoration. It is equipped with its numbers matching L34 396, 350 hp engine, M-21 transmission and 12 bolt posi traction rear axle with 3:31 gears which have all been rebuilt with new components. Originally built in the Van Nuys, California GM plant and where it continuedto stay there in California most of its life. It was brought to Massachusetts only a few years ago for a complete rotisserierestoration. The body still retains all of the panels the car was born with from the doors trunk hood and floor pans. The Tuxedo black paint is straight and blemish free many hours were spent on blocking the car out to since black is not very forgiving to hiding any blemish in the body work. The white stripes were painted and clear coat was applied over the entire body.It has a new black vinyl top and the original stainless has been polished to perfection. The body gaps are very straight and the windows seal perfectly. The entire gauge cluster has been restored to as new condition, as well as the black interior. The headliner is tight with no sags or wrinkles and the seats have been reupholsteredwith original type material and the door panels have been replaced with new reproductions. The original Cowl induction works flawlessly after being completely rebuilt. The Muncie shifter gives a very positive feel and is still equipped with the reverse lock out which still works. I have the original broadcast sheet for the car. The chassis was rebuilt with factory correct parts and every component is painted in its correct color. All of the suspension tags and grease pencil marks are present in their correct locations. The car receiveda correct exhaust system and the car sounds great. The car drives straight and feels very tight. It rides great like a GM A body should of this era. we have shaken the car down and it doesnt squeak, rattle or produce any wind noise at any of the window seals. This is a great car for someone who wants a trouble free muscle car with an investment grade quality restoration.
