1971 Chevrolet C-10 Additional Info:
This is a 1971 C-10 stepside, shortbed Chevy pickup. This truck is rust-free, no rust at all anywhere. It has never been rusty, either. It is a very straight truck and would be a perfect candidate to put an LS motor in and put a lowering kit on. I got this truck from a guy who had planned on doing that to this truck. He thought it was too nice and original of a truck to do that to. The family he got it from had it from 1973 to 2015. The man passed away and his family sold it to the guy I got it from. The owner who had it for 42 years kept records on it, which were passed on to me. He put the automatic transmission, power-steering and power-brakes on it so it was easier for him to drive. It has the protecto-plate, build sheet and owner's manual. The guy I got it from put an HEI distributor in it and a 2 barrel carburetor on it. They were purchased from Langdon's Stovebolt. I think the carburetor might still need to be adjusted a bit. I haven't driven the truck much, but the times I have been able to get it out, it seems to run good. Mileage says 49,153 on it but I'm sure it's turned over. The title will state exempt for mileage. The paint job looks to be 20-25 years old. It is still in really good condition. It does have a few niches and scratches, some of which have been touched up. The driver's side front fender appears to have been repainted at some point after the truck was repainted. It appears to be just a shade off from the rest of the truck, but not bad. There is a very small ding in the rear fender on the driver's side by the side marker light. The wood is in very good condition. I put some pictures of the cab supports and inner rockers to show that it is rust-free. I put a new heater core in it and there was no rust in that area. I've been all over this truck and could not find any signs of rust in it anywhere, nor any signs of the truck having rust repaired on it. This truck spent it's entire life in Georgia. The interior is very nice for the age. It still has the original seat, original dash pad, original rubber mat, all in very good condition.
