Full frame off restoration started in November 2017 with well over $20,000 into this truck! Paint and body work was done last spring/summer. Engine is a strong running Pontiac 350 with the great 6X heads and a new Edelbrock Performer intake being fed by a 650 Edelbrock carb. Like most older V8’s the engine does leak a little oil but runs great and doesn’t smoke at all. TH400 Transmission has less than 50 miles on a professional rebuild that included a mild shift kit and a rebuilt torque converter. Like the engine, these older transmissions don’t have quite the tight tolerances as newer vehicles so the transmission does leak a little bit. Truck started out as a longbed and I had the frame shortened by a shop that specializes in semi truck structural repairs (not some guy with an old mig in his garage!).

Here are just some of the other updates:

· New American Racing wheels and tires have less than 50 miles on them.

· Truck was converted to 5 lug power brakes with front disc and rear drum.

· New master cycler and power booster.

· Headers and glasspack mufflers sound amazing!!!

· 5” static drop

· New modern fuse box and pretty much all of the wiring is brand new

· New driveshaft

· New power steering gearbox

· New chrome tilt steering column

· New front windshield

· New rubber weather stripping and felt around door and vent windows

· Replaced the rockers and patched the floors.

· New battery

· New fuel pump and tank sending unit

· New aluminum radiator and electric fan

· New lights

· New starter

· New temperature, oil, and volt gauges

· Seat was recovered and has embedded stainless steel cupholders (the shadows in the pics make the seat look stained)

There are a few things that I didn’t get to finish which is why the truck is not priced in the 20’s.

· It's hot in Texas so I was going to buy a Vintage Air setup and have it installed.

· Speedometer needs a cable but I use a speedometer app on my phone.

· I put in a new fuel tank sending unit and but the new gas gauge isn’t reading the tank level. I haven’t had time to mess with this as you can just knock on the tank to determine if the tank is running low!

· Driver’s door arm rest.

As I mentioned above, this truck has less than 50 miles since being finished. When you see places on tv do these amazing builds, what you don’t see is that the car or truck pretty much always has to come back for some tweaking. When you are combining old with new, sometimes things pop up especially on a truck that’s over 50 years old! That said, I try to only buy quality parts for my vehicles and use reputable shops for work. Please note that this truck has $9000 worth of paint and body work so please don’t expect a $15000 show quality paint job. There are several nicks and scratches from 8 months of having the truck in the garage. I am selling the truck AS IS.

If you would like to see the truck in person, I’m located 1 mile outside Austin, Texas and would be more than willing to pick you up at the airport. I’m also happy to work with your shipping company. I do recommend checking out uShip for their shipping options. A $500 non-refundable deposit via paypal is due with 48 hours and the balance paid with cash or wire within 7 days.
