1959 Chevrolet Other Additional Info:
Running 1959 Biscayne. In need of a complete restoration. Clear Oklahoma title in hand. I purchased this about 5 years ago with the intentions of doing a complete restoration, but it just never happened. The good things about this vehicle include that it appears to be essentially complete and original. The 283 V-8 engine starts and runs and as recently as two years ago it was regularly driven on short trips around town (to WalMart or the grocery store). The transmission shifted fine on the street, but it does leak some transmission fluid and probably needs new seals. The body appears to be pretty straight, although there are a few areas of old body filler that are not perfectly even. The front windshield has a rock chip and the side windows each have a crack. The paint job is an obvious amateur job and would need to be sanded down and repaired/repainted. The floor pans and trunk floor were patched with sheet metal using rivets/screws; however they feel solid under your feet. There are old rusted areas in the wheel wells, fuel fill area and some on the rocker panel areas. The rust was sanded and treated a few years ago with a chemical product to stop it from spreading. Three of the tires are dry rotted, one was replaced a few years ago. With some time and work this could be a great vehicle.
Buyer will need to arrange transportation, but I am willing to assist with the pick-up if a transportation company is used.
