1959 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Additional Info:
I found this car being restored in Great Falls Montana. It was originally a 6 cylinder 3 spd car. But now has a 454 and a floor shift 4spd tranny.
The floors and quarters have been patched. The front clip has been smoothed where fenders are bonded to the front core support panel. One side does not align correctly, being off a bit from the hood leading edge. The trunk was patched with some plate steel, ok for driver if you cover with a carpet. You'll want a repro patch panel to do it right.
There has been a pretty hard hit on the tranny crossmember, but I don't think it will affect the driving. I have rebuilt the front end and added front disc brakes. I have moved the car around the yard, but never driven on the road.
The bumpers are removed. They are straight and presentable for driver quality. I have all of the trim for the car. It has been removed for bodywork and paint. Most has been straightened and polished.
I needed to go to a 15 inch front wheel for the disc brakes, so you get these brand new Wheel Vintiques unilug ralley wheels, with new tires. A few years old but maybe 20 miles on them.
The windshield is new. New gaskets WS and back glass, set in place but not sealed in (so you can paint). Side glass is out and one piece is cracked or missing. All flat so no big deal. The rear quarter glass is stationary, which may mean that this was a business coupe. I came without a back seat. I have a back seat and divided bench front seat frames. There is a 4dr solid bench in the car now, just for moving around.
Motor seems to run good, but has not been tuned since I have owned. Needs fuel trickle down the carb to prime for starting. May need fuelpump or tuneup? Has new dual exhaust.
Car is located in Midpines, CA. 7 miles from Mariposa, 50 miles from Merced, 85 miles from Fresno. Its one mile off the highway, but limited access for semi haulers. If you live far away and you are having the car shipped, I can take the car out to the highway in Midpines, or take it into Mariposa to meet the carrier.
