1979 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:

For sale is a 1979 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray show car that has a large amount of after market and high end parts installed. The car is very well put together. The engine is a 454ci bored 60 over to a 468ci. If you know about rare Chevrolet parts, this should spark interest. It has 1967 L88 aluminum heads. There were only 20 sets of these made from Chevrolet. Rarity is an understatement! These heads are extremely sought after.I have been offered a lot of money for the heads only, but don't want to separate from the car.
It has a steel crank and 15.5:1 pistons. The cam is a custom made, not store bought, Crane Cam 804. Currently is has no mufflers on the car and sounds insane. There is a fuel cell where the factory gas tank is. It is tuned to run on 116 leaded. The transmission is a 2 speed glide with a line lock. Also, has a trans brake hooked up. There is an aluminum spoiler and wheelie bars installed. The engine made 730hp all natural. It is setup for the outlaw prostreet bracket racing, but has never been down the track. The body has been professionally widened almost 4 inches of both sides in the rear. The cost of just the paint materials was $15k. It is tubbed in the rear and tucks the big slicks. There is not a part of the body that was untouched, it is an unbelievable paint job! People just stop and stare at the amount of flake that is in it. The roll cage is NHRA certified and is painted silver.
