This truck is used daily as my work truck, and is mostly original. The truck has had several paint jobs over its life, and they are peeling, fading, and worn through in some areas, (see pics). This truck started life in Kentucky as a hardware store delivery vehicle. The gold lettering on the doors from that era is starting to show through the old paint. The truck sat unused and stored indoors for about 20 years. It has been in Mississippi for 25 years. It has some rust. Floor pans are rusty, but largely intact. Surface rust on the roof and on several other places on the body. All of the windows - except the back corner windows- are either cracked or clouding. Needs new rubber around the doors. Suspension is loose, but handles well under all conditions. Top speed is about 70 mph. 55 mph is a comfortable speed. Interior is rough. No headliner or door covers. Original seats with a cover on the bench. Some floor pan rust through and interior side wall rust.
Home made back bumper with at hitch.
If you want a good truck with "that look" which can only come from age and use - not a shiny, over restored vehicle - then this might be just the truck for you. I keep it coated with boiled linseed oil to prevent further deterioration of the surface. It creates a great matte look. I have owned the truck for 15 years, and I am the third owner. This truck is dependable, and starts instantly! Everyone notices this truck going down the road. Everyone has told me to "not change a thing", so I have not. Fun to drive. I use the truck daily.
I will deliver within 200 miles of Oxford Mississippi.
