1955 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
This is my 1955 Chevrolet 3100 5 window pickup. This truck was recently completed. All chrome is now including a 47-53 grille. It has been dropped 4" in the front with a drop axle and 3" in rear. This has been converted to disc brakes in front and 5 lug all the way around. The tires, wheels and hubcaps are brand new as well. The rearend is a 55 Chevy auto rearend that has been completely gone through. The wiring harness is brand new and has been hidden. The truck has had the firewall smoothed out and custom aluminum work with solid aircraft rivets throughout. The exhaust is also new. The heater is new with the heater hoses run along the frame to keep firewall smooth. The seat has been recovered and all glass is new except for the rear corner windows. The bumpers and grill are new. The finish of the truck looks great as it has been buffed smooth. It is hard to remember everything that has been done with the truck but as you can see it is one of a kind and looks awesome in the light. Any questions just ask. It is a stock 235 engine with the three speed standard with Hurst shifter to the floor. The truck is registered in GA. and does not have a title. Most states do not require one due to its age.
Thank you for looking.
On May-21-17 at 15:49:48 PDT, seller added the following information:I just wanted to add that the wheels are chrome and the centers are painted black. They are not trim rings on the wheels. Also the inner firewall has a very nice molded black cover to hide all the wiring and has new carpet too. All the window cranks and door handles inner and outer are new. I had the truck at the last Caffeine and Octane show for the first time and the picture of me backing up was from a guy from the show who wanted a short interview. I guess it will be on the Velocity channel at some point. Just thought I would mention that. Don't know when but I of course would like to see it too. The only issues I can think of with the truck are the windows do go up and down but it's a little tight. I believe its because all the seals and brushes are new in the tracks and need to ware in. Also the speedo may need a new cable. (not there). The fuel tank is new along with the sending unit and fuel gauge. Also the mechanical factory temp gauge is new and all gauges have been refaced and all look brand new. Also the rings around the gauges are new. As I think of more I will add.
Thanks again!
