1979 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:
1979 Chevy CorvetteI bought this car in 2003 as a project car. The original color was dark green with tan interior.
What I have done to the car:
- New spark plugs and wires
- New distributor
- New vacuum hoses
- Rebuild carburetor
- New automatic transmission fluid
- New carpet
- New seats
- Painted and refurbished entire interior to black
- Exterior painted Viper Red
- Some new weatherstrip (car will come with some remaining)
- New emblems
- Some new door hardware
- New front bumper cover
- New brakes
- New shocks
- Freshly repacked wheel bearings
- 600 watt amp and 4 new speakers installed
- Audio head unit is a generic CD player
- Spare tire and holder is currently off the car
- A new-in-box set of headers
- New weatherstrip which has not yet been installed (bought a complete set)
- Air conditioner has never been connected. No idea if it works.
- Windshield wipers need to be adjusted/aligned.
- Door windows are not water tight. I avoid the rain. They need adjusted.
- Door locks work hard. Automatic locking mechanism too weak to operate them. Manual locking/unlocking works fine.
- Coolant temperature gauge does not work
