1970 Chevrolet C-10 Custom Pickup Additional Info:
You've seen this truck all over Super Chevy, Popular Hot Rodding, Hot Rod, and all across the internet. This is the fantastic Chevy C10 RS truck, built by the revered guys at the Roadster Shop in Elgin, Illinois. It began life as a rust free LONG bed C10, but has been custom modded by the RS guys to a short bed. Space limits me here, but it has ALL the right stuff:
- Roadster Shop's biggest claim to fame is their fabulous chassis. Super strong, light, CNC milled and TIG welded. It drives and rides remarkably to be this taught and low. Corvette C6 suspension components in the front. Google "RS C10 PHR autocross challenge" to see for yourself.
- A Chevy crate LSX 454 engine, making slightly over 700HP. This is a fairly recent addition if you haven't seen this truck in a while. Runs and idles smooth, incredible torque.
- Wilwood brakes with 4 pot calipers, cross drilled rotors, sitting on coilovers and all the proper suspension pieces.
- Custom built Tremec 6 speed tranny, and of course the clutch to go with it.
- 19 and 20" Forgeline wheels with staggered 295 and 335 Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires
- Autometer custom Gauge cluster with classic looks, but modern information.
- Power steering, tilt column, and a nice custom wood steering wheel.
- Pristine interior, with period looking Camaro style seats with high side bolsters, classic Houndstooth upholstery, and Sparco harnesses, and a nice neat fire extinguisher.
- Door panels beautifully crafted in detailed leather, with power windows installed too. Fresh glass, great detail work on door jambs, door edges and dash. Even the underside of the cabs roof is immaculate and fully polished and waxed.
- Race style safety fuel cell, with a neatly sprayed in liner, looks as if factory installed.
- Overall paintwork looks superb on door frames, under hood and fenderwells. Chrome is beautiful on bumpers and no pitting or wear.
You get the idea. Everything on this truck is first class. Odometer shows 4811 since the build, but of course, as it is 45 years old, it will be sold mileage exempt. We do have a title on hand. The original build cost, with this latest LSX engine and new wheels, is some where north of $200,000. But once you decide you want one, you've still got to wait months to get one. This truck is available NOW, and is fully sorted and ready to go terrorize unknowing victims. It is not only TENS of thousands below the cost of a new one, but you save MONTHS of waiting to get your truck, and even more time sorting it out. You're certainly not going to meet yourself in the street, or at this weekend's car show!
Space limits me here, but just take a look for RS C10 pickup in your search engine. This truck has been all over the best magazines, the cover of Super Chevy and more. If you will go to Roadster Shop's website and go to "Gallery" you can see another 50 or so pictures during the original build. Look in the Popular Hot Rodding online archives--this truck would have won the 2012 Muscle Car of the Year competition, by virtue of the highest average points score. But they decided to give just an "honorable mention", as it had embarrassed the 11 other cars in contention. It was taken out of the competition, at the risk of hacking off all the other big builders. It is quite a machine. What a beauaiful noise it makes!

You are welcome to call or email me with questions, and I'm glad to hear your offer. But please, don't waste both our valuable minutes with a silly lowball offer. This is not something someone put together at night in their backyard, with a 350 automatic and a set of wheels from PepBoys. This is a professionally engineered and executed ANIMAL. You can see the quality of the parts and the build, and you know it would cost tens of thousands more to duplicate.Have you seen the real numbers that quality trucks are doing at the big auctions? This is well within the realm, and not that much more than VERY average trucks. Someone is going to own this incredible machine for way under the build cost. I hope it will be you!
