1951 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
1951 Chevrolet 3600 truck. This truck was owned by the fire chief of a small town in Kansas. I don't think it actually started it's life as a fire truck. I believe the owner dressed it as a fire truck and used it as a personal and parade vehicle. There is hardly any rust anywhere on this truck. It is actually in fairly good condition. It does run, drive and stop. The fire siren and lights do work. There are some dents and ripples on the truck - especially the fenders. The back window is broken and the truck needs new weather stripping if that bothers you. The tires are not road worthy and I wouldn't trust them as they are cracked with age. Also, the speedometer is inoperable. The truck could use some work and tinkering for sure. Think of it as a rat rod if that's your thing, or as a neat old work truck with a cool patina. Take it to a show for fun or just to take the kids to Sonic. It gets more looks than a $100,000 sports car for sure. People seem to love it! You can use the link I have added to see a video I took of the truck to get a better idea of its condition. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like additional pics of something I have missed.
