1986 Chevrolet Corvette Covertible Additional Info:
Corvette had not produced a convertible for 11 years so the 1986 was much anticipated . The selling price of $32,032 was very expensive. The convertible was priced $5,000 higher than the coupe. We are advertising this vehicle because we have purchased another convertible than is easier for my wife to drive than the Corvette. Past owners of this Corvette have primarily been military personnel. It has been maintained to high standards and it shows. To my knowledge, the paint, interior, engine, transmission, top, pace car decals, etc. are all original and in great condition. I know of no touch-up spots on the paint. The vehicle is a very strong performer. It drives flawlessly and stops straight. The only modications that I am aware of are the addition of a K&N air filter, exhaust replaced (from the cat back) with a like original one, and molded gravel protectors added at the rear of all four wheels painted to match the vehicle. The leather is original and in presentable condition with some cracking but with no splits or tears. The bronzish (medium brown metallic) color is somewhat rare in that only 400 were produced. The instrument cluster (very impressive when it debuted) works with all areas lighting up and reading as they should. The revolving headlights work as intended. The automatic rear antenna works. The A/C is cold. The tires have at least 80% wear remaining. The vehicle has normal wear for a 30 year old well cared for Corvette. The cassette player is not working.
If the purchaser continues to maintain this vehicle, there are many years of enjoyment ahead.
We have a clean TN title in hand with the actual miles stated on the title.
We don't need or welcome any help selling, not interested in trades, and will not accept PayPal. Prefer cash or possibly a certified check after speaking with the buyer.
Please no test messages as I do not text. I am retired and can show the vehicle most any time during daylight hours. Please call 865-207-4493 only between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. eastern daylight time.

To those of you (and others) who have contacted me with interest in our vehicle and do not live close by, I encourage you to have someone look at the car for you. If you do not have friends or relatives in the Knoxville area you can google "car clubs Knoxville, TN" and possibly make contact with a member who is willing to look for you for little or no cost to you. We are located 25 miles west of Knoxville. Even though someone may need to look outside the preferred call times, we will work with them. Also, the only club membership we have is with the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America, so we aren't likely to know someone you might contact.
Thank you

Note of clarification: We much prefer an interested party see this vehicle prior to bid or purchase. Again, if that isn't possible, please have a third party. There are too many descriptive adjectives used on eBay that mean different things to different people.
Thanks again.
