1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Additional Info:
..... Hello to all you fellow corvair enthusiasts, I'm trying to help a friend sell his Los Angeles build 1965 Monza 4 door sedan or as some people call hardtop. Asking price is very reasonable with a low reserve. Please bid to own. This is a rare original "evening orchid " corvair. One year only color and how many sedans were painted this color, very few I would guess. As mentioned above this is LOS build corvair which is pretty cool considering most corvairs were build in Ypsilanti, MI.Another cool thing about this 4 door is it was ordered with factory air conditioning (pun intended)Factory trim tag verifies the A/C and the P.P. (evening orchid) paint. 110hpP.G. transmission
There's no better looking corvair then the late model 4 doors in my opinion.
The good on this car besides the rarity is the condition of the body, very solid. The underside, looks to be new condition. Very solid, straight body . Engine seems to run good, transmission shifts good.
The bad is the paint isn't perfect and I would say on a scale from 1 to 10 I would give it a 7 to a 8 definitely a 5 foot car for sure.Interior is fair at best, doesn't look too bad but not much support. Here's something I can't explain but someone at some point removed all the air conditioning components, only thing left is a center vent. Why? don't know. The wheel well molding is missing on all 4 wheels, probably the painter took off and didn't reinstalled. Overall this is a good corvair and with a little help from the new owner could be a great corvair! Car is now located in Southeast Michigan but spend much of its life down south. Please contact me if you are aserious buyer or want more information and pictures. I added the body tag to help clarify the people who questioned if the corvair had factory air conditioning. Thanks, Dan
