This truck has had a LOT of time and money spent on it, it runs and drives GREAT and gets a LOT of attention, lots of high $ options and parts, and built by a great mechanic. He was not, however, a great painter. Some people fancy themselvesto bea "Jack of all trades", let's just say he should stick to doing the mechanics and leave the painting to the professionals. The engine compartment and interior/dash look great- because he didn't shoot those, it's a high quality base/clear - but he shot the exterior himself, and you can tell. The truck was built to be a driver- not a trailer queen, and it's presentable and good enough for the local shows and cruise-in's, but it's a 10 footer if you don't want to see some orange peel and a few runs on the bottom. This truck is VERY comfortable to drive, it's quick and responsive, sounds amazing, AC blows cold, and seats have plenty of adjustment even if you're tall. The Camaro front clip, power steering and disc brakes make such a difference. If you've ever driven a stock 57', you know what I mean, and there's just no comparison. I have included a couple of pictures of when he had it down to the frame, and I can email you a few more, along with current under-carriage pics if you'd like.
*** Please feel free to contact me any time if you need any additional info, would like to come and see the truck, or just have questions:520-404-1975cell. (Heather Anderson)
I am a licensed/bonded AZ auto dealer... NOT by choice, but because here in the great state of AZ if you buy/sell more than 3 vehicles (of any kind) in any 12 month period, you have to get a license. I am in real estate, but also a classic car and Airstream nut, I also have a ranch, horses, trailers, etc... let's just say I bought and sold a few too many for the state's liking, and due to the fact that they need revenue desperately- they decided to fine me when I sold a few more that what I'm "allowed", long story short- I jumped through all of their hoops and got my license.
Full payment is due within 7 days of the auction's end, and thecoach must be picked up within 15 days of payment (unless other arrangements have been made). Certified funds, cash in person or bank wire-transfer only. Payments MUST clear before theRV leaves my sight. There are no "title fees" or "doc fees" like the typical dealers have because as far as I can tell, that's just a way to get an extra couple hundred dollars from someone, here in AZ it costs me $15.00 to get a temporary registration so that a buyer can drive home legally and $4.00 for a title, I think I can handle that. Please check my feedback, you'll see that I don't sell very many vehicles- but I do have 100% positive feedback on what I have sold over the years. I do NOT go to auctions and buy cars to sell, anything that I have sold or will sell either belonged to me or someone that I know or is a "consignment" type of sale. I have never liked most car dealers and am not all that thrilled to be "one of them".
***This is a USEDTRUCK (60 years old in fact) and is being sold as-is/where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. Thistruckis ingreat condition, but please be realistic- it has flaws.I mentioned the paint earlier, other things to note are that it has no wipers (he was never planning to drive it in the rain) and he put in modern seats, but took OFF the seat belts because "in 1957 it didn't have them" andin AZ if it didn't come factory with them, you don't have to have them (they sell some nice bolt-on lap belts on eBay for $20-$30 if you want to put them in) and he's a stubborn man who believes that "nobody should tellyou that you haveto wear a seat belt, that's a personal choice", so that's how it is, and I'm not telling him anydifferent ; )The new odometer reads just under 400 miles right now, I listed 450 in case I drive it, that's just the mileage since it was finished, actual mileage is unknown of course. If you can't make it here to see it in person, please call me and I can walk around it and point out any little flaws that I notice, or things that may bother someone. Again, please call me with any questions or to come see it:520-404-1975. I would welcome and recommend that you come see it or have a 3rd party inspection. I will make it available throughout the auction for any and all inspections, just call and we'll set up a time. Please understand that the description is only my opinion, yours may be different, I have done my best to take many pictures and describe thetruck to the best of my ability.Just remember, we all tend to look better in pictures than in person- that's just the way it is.
