Take this 1992 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4x4 pickup home and you'll be faced with a dilemma: show it off or have a party with it off road? Recently resprayed to a high level, very well-maintained, and totally capable, this big 4x4 will take you anywhere, and look really darn good when it does. Bright blue isn't the first thing that springs to mind when you think about a serious off-road machine, but after seeing this pickup, it looks... simply amazing. A team of experts went to work on the extended-cab, short-bed truck, adding the GMC front clip, then smoothing the rest until it was ready for several coats of that cool blue paint. A few coats of clear, some buffing and rubbing, and voila! It's ready for primetime. Along the way, it received a few other upgrades, including a fresh chrome bumpers fore and aft that look amazing, a professional spray-in liner in the bed, fresh Z71 decals, and every badge and emblem save for the one in the middle of the grille was shaved. In contrast to the monochromatic trend, the grille is blacked out and trimmed in bright chrome to match the OEM bumper, and crystal clear headlights and parking lights were fitted, giving it a bright-eyed look that's quite up-to-date and modern. The interior is pretty stock, but it's also pretty nicely preserved and in excellent condition. The buckets and center console give an upscale look and feel to the Chevy pickup, but they look so right here and provide an added layer of comfort, the stock door panels are clean and house the controls for the power windows and locks, and the plush carpet below is protected by heavy-duty vinyl floor mats. The most obvious component to brag about inside the cab is the dash, which is all-stock and free of cracks- something seldom seen in GM trucks from this era, as them materials used in the '80s and '90s tend to warp and splinter quickly under the sun if not treated and cared-for properly. All the gauges and switches are original and in great working order, and there's even an original AM/FM/Cassette player right where it's supposed to be, and it works! A/C, power windows and locks, cruise control, and a tilt column with an original 4-spoke steering wheel make it comfortable enough to drive all day, on-road or off. The fully dressed 5.7L TBI V8 under the hood is believed to be the original block this truck was born with, and with only 121,974 miles on the clock of this legendary power train, it delivers the power you'd expect from a truck that looks this formidable. The throttle-body injection on this small block means that it fires up immediately upon command, and stock exhaust manifolds feed a newer single-to-dual exhaust system that sounds muted but muscular thanks to a burly chambered muffler. The engine has certainly been detailed to show-off, with stock black valve covers, a matching snorkeled air cleaner, and clean, maintained components everywhere you look. R134a A/C lines feed the compressor, and the power brakes and power steering systems boast this truck's easy drivability. The chassis is incredibly solid, with no evidence of off-road abuse, showing off a lifetime of easy living under the tutelage of 1-owner in the warm Texas climate. A 5-speed manual transmission with a heavy-duty clutch handles the power and spins the massive 14-bolt rear end out back, making it a more than capable performer that's still able to climb through the rough stuff when needed. This 4x4 sits tall on a set of original steel wheels adorned with beauty rings and center caps, all wrapped in oversized 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler off-road radials. Civilized yet capable, this Silverado 4x4 is an impressive machine that does it all. Call today!
