1968 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:
1968 Corvette Coupe BB. Currently has a 1970 454 in the car. Block casting # 3963512, casting date is B 19 70 (February 19, 1970). Engine VIN pad is clean and no swirl marks from being decked. Heads and intake manifold are for a 68 390hp car. 4 speed is a Muncie M20 (not matching number), New battery, heater core, carpeting and dash pads. The exhaust on the car has seen better days and a new Gardner Exhaust system comes with the car (but not installed). Gardner Exhausts are the best out there in regard to matching original specs. The spare tire is a new (never on the road) Goodyear Eagle GT which is a very valuable tire. The tires on the car are Goodyear Eagle ST's (P245 R60/15). Rear axle is a 355. Car trim plate shows the exterior color as Rally Red and interior Saddle. The car is not currently Rally Red, as it has some orange in it. This is a very nice car but not perfect by any means. I call it a 10 footer. Looks great at 10 feet, but it needs a new paint job due to fiberglas stress cracks, etc. Runs great and has too many original parts to list. The license plate shows TRICARB. Car was built August 5, 1968 so it's a very late 68 car. Tach has a 6500 Redline but that is not correct for a 390hp car. Car has power steering and power brakes. Also telescopic steering column. It also comes with the t-top shelf that fits behind the seats but it is not currently installed. Also have the t-top straps. The clock stopped working, it was a quartz replacement. The passenger lower seat is a little dried out (leather). I just put in a new Custom Autosound Slidebar radio, model CAM-CV 14040211.
Very easy to make this a tripower car. Just change out the intake and carbs. Heads on the car are oval ports. Car is listed locally for sale as well and I reserve the right to end the bidding if it sells locally.
Buyer to arrange for their own transportation. Car can be viewed in Lake Oswego, OR. No international buyers.
