This is a very nice 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. It’s not a show car but it is a very nice driver’s car. It’s fun to drive and runs, steers and brakes very well. Car starts right up. I’ve had it almost fouryears and have been working on it in my spare time and as a ‘winter project’. It was pretty much all original when I got it and I repaired and replaced anything that needed it. I did do some body work to it but it has very, very little rust. The front fender had been replaced on it so there is a slight misalignment with the driver’s door as pictured. It has the original radio and new speakers. Car also has the original vinyl seats. I found two splits on the driver’s seat in the seam stitching (as pictured) but the rest look real good.
The mileage shows almost 76,000. I’m not the original owner so can’t say for sure but from the looks of the brake pedal and driver’s seat I believe this is probably accurate. The gas gauge did work but now is stuck on ‘full’.
It has a fresh rebuilt 350 engine with 200 miles on the rebuild. It has new paint with base and clear coats. I painted it, it’s not a professional paint job but I believe it does look good. I also had small pin-striping applied. The weatherstripping is new but the doors do leak air.
I did not replace the chrome trim on the small backseat side windows. They are caulked and air tight.
The pictures were taken a couple years ago but nothing has changed. It's been garage kept and started regularly.
All in all, this is a very nice car, fun to drive, a lot of original details, just a neat car and a great find!
