1971 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe 2-Door Additional Info:
Real Norwood Ohio built 1971 Z28 Camaro. It has documented 63,441 miles which may go up as I drive the car occasionally. Full nut & bolt rotisserie restoration performed from 2009 to late 2013. Painted in the original color PPG base coat/clear coat Nevada silver, Black stripes with deluxe black cloth interior (interior originally blue). Car restored as a mild resto-mod with 4 wheel power disc brakes, original power steering, 4.10 gear posi original 10 bolt rear (code CG C1041E), variable speed electric cooling fan with controller and Tremec TKO 600 5 speed overdrive transmission from American Power Train and aluminum driveshaft. Car cruises at 2200rpm at 70mph. Engine is a 1972 Z28 short block completely rebuilt approximately 3,500 miles ago. 4 bolt 3970010 block with V0404CKT stamp, casting date code C192 (3/19/72). Original std size mains and rods 1182 forged steel crank, forged pink rods, Wiseco 2 eyebrow .030" over forged flat top pistons, original LT-1/Z28 oil pan & windage tray, Melling oil pump, Dart SHP 180 2.02/1.60 stainless steel valves aluminum heads milled to 62cc, screw in studs & guide plates, dual valve springs, double roller timing chain, Lunati Voodoo 10120703 hydraulic cam, Comp cam Magnum roller rockers & push rods. Holley dual plane Street Dominator 300-36 intake, RPM LTD set up 3310 - 780 vacuum secondary Holley, MSD Pro Billet HEI distributor & Hooker ceramic coated headers. Pro-Touring F Body "GT" springs & solid sub frame mounts. Global West sub frame connectors. AFCO gas charged mono tube shocks. 1-1/8" original 1981 Z28 front sway bar, 3/4" original WS6 Trans Am rear sway bar, I have original sway bars from car. Cragar Eliminator 15x7 & 15x8 wheels with BF Goodrich T/A radials, front 215/65-15, rear 235/70-15. Interior is all new or restored. Body panels are original except hood, outer wheel housings and panel below rear bumper. Rust free original car, bottom is painted in red oxide, satin black & "cast blast" as original. Stacks of receipts. JVC AM/FM/CD radio, bluetooth capable w/4 speakers in OEM locations & small Coustic amp in trunk for rear speakers. New PRW SFI certified billet steel flywheel (I have original) and McCleod 11" diaphram clutch. Car drives great, uses premium pump gas, on a 250 mile trip got 18.6mpg. Brand new Pypes stainless steel X pipe exhaust with race pro mufflers, no clamps, all tig welded and flanges for tail pipes for easy removal. 2 1/2" tail pipes exit below rear valance as OEM and are polished stainless steel.
