Up for sale we have a 1937 Chevy Town Sedan. This is a well done street rod that has about 9,000 miles on the restoration. It has Big Block power with Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, and Air Condition. This car was bought new at John Smith Motor Co. in Atlanta GA. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the '37. The body is steel with fiberglass fenders and running boards. The panel fit is very good with the hood and trunk being steel. When you look at the chrome and stainless it all looks to either have been replaced, rechromed, or polished. All the glass was replaced with a light smoked glass and all the seals them were replaced along with the weather stripping. When you look at the paint it's done in the Tuxedo Black Paint that is accented by the Red Pin Stripping. The paint shows very well with a deep rich shine and a nice job done in the jams and trunk. To complete the old school look it's sitting on a set of Diamond Back Wide White's with Red Steel Wheels with the caps and rings.
Next we will take a look at the interior of the Town Sedan. On the inside it's done in red with the seats being covered in Ultra Red Leather. The door panels and headliner are done in the same red leather to match. The dash and trim is done in black which makes for the perfect complement to the exterior. This '37 has the Dakota Digital gauge in the dash along with an AM/FM cassette radio with a 10-disc CD Changer. Also it has vintage Heat and AC along with Power Windows up front. The column is tilt with a Billet Banjo Wheel.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it's powered by a 396 V8 that's bored .30 over with all TRW Parts. The trans is a 400 Turbo that's hooked to the 10 Bolt Rear End. The engine is dressed with a set of GM Aluminum Valve Covers and an Aluminum Intake. The Alternator is chrome with the AC Compressor being polished. For the exhaust it has Shorty Headers with Duals. This Chevy has a Camaro front clip with fat man narrowed control arms, the ECI narrow Trac Front Disc Brakes kit that is Power with drums out back, and it also Has Power Steering.
