1948 Chevrolet Other Sport Coupe Additional Info:

This auction is for two 1948 Chevrolet Sport Coupes. Both cars are in need of TLC. These vehicles have been sitting since the 1980's at the earliest.

The first vehicle is a 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster built in St. Louis, Missouri. The car appears to have started life in the 1948 color, Mayland Black and had a tan striped pile fabric interior (some of which remains on the rear seat). However, the paint code is hard to read and appears to be a "316" which is a 1942 color used known as Ensign Blue Metallic. I don't know if the car bore the wrong code for the paint, I will let the purchaser make the decision. This car has some rust on the floor boards but overall appears to be in relatively good shape for its age.

The second vehicle is a 1948 Chevrolet Stylemaster built in Atlanta, Georgia. This car was originally painted (and still retains much of that paint) in Mayland Black and had a grey striped pile fabric interior. This car has serious rust issues in the floor board.

Overall both vehicles appear to have strong frame rails with the only major body rust being on the floorboards of the Stylemaster. Much of the original glass is still retained in both of the vehicles. The windshield glass is missing from the Fleetmaster. Both vehicles are worthy candidates for rebuilds or rat rods. Please note that I am not an expert when it comes to the design and building of these particular vehicles. It does appear that most of the parts to complete both vehicles are present. The most notable missing parts are the engines and transmissions for both vehicle. I have also noted that there are only three rear fender covers instead of four. Also I appear to be short one grille. Here is a list of included parts which are not currently installed on the vehicels:

- 4 x front fenders

- 3 x Rear fenders

- 2 x seat frames

- 8 x miscellaneous parts (likely inner fender well and support parts)

- 2 x doors

- 1 x deck lid

- 1 x grille

- 2 x bumpers

- 1 x gas tank

- 2 x hoods

Again, these appear to be a vast majority of the parts needed to complete the vehicles.

These vehicles are sold on a bill of sale through the state of Georgia. If you have any questions regarding these vehicles please do not wait until the last minute to ask them. I do encourage anyone who would like to come and inspect the vehicles to do so. Both vehicles are located on my families property. I cannot ship these vehicles; however, I would be more than happy to assist in loading the vehicles for transport. The vehicles can be stored for a reasonable amount of time at the conclusion of the auction. I will require a non-refundable $500.00 deposit through Paypal at the conclusion of the auction. I can go ahead and answer one question you already have... No, the 1966 Mustang Fastback is not for sale.
