1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 210 Additional Info:
1957 Chevy 210 sedan. FACTORY Power Pack 283 V8 220 HP. Factory dual exhaust. The car APPEARS to have the original engine to the car, the carb appears original it's a Carter 4-barrel. It IS a Power Pack car as seen in a pic identified marking on the head, and the fuel line runs on the outside of the frame to the engine compartment. Run ability: The car sat in a garage for 20 years. There has been an attempt to start it but won't start. It ALMOST starts but we feel a set of plug wires would make it fire right up. The car is being fed from a gas bottle.
This car is a RESTORATION PROJECT... it is mostly solid and straight, now I will try and explain what is bad on the the body and structure.
The bad: There is rust in various places in the floor front to back. It's not rotted out but there's areas that have rust. Mostly in the rockers, trunk floor towards the rear, passenger compartment floor near the foot areas both sides. The worst is the dogleg area when you open both back doors. For a restoration, the rust is NOT insurmountable in my opinion. The glass is ok but has some fogging here and there.
The good: The body is very straight, most of the trim is in very good shape and it's all there. The piece that is missing on the rear quarter panel is visible in the trunk, along with the missing trim pieces from the hood. The interior is ok, period correct seat covers look good, door panels ok with some warping and a tear. Cowel and engine compartment is nice and solid!!
To sum it up, it's got two too many doors I know, but it also could be a great entry level cruise night car for not alot of money invested. Not to mention the really cool engine combination!! The RESERVE IS GOING TO BE SET VERY LOW!!
Restore or use it for parts ( heaven forbid ) It's your car, your choice what to do with it. Any questions please call before you bid. Also, because of past problems with zero or low feedback bidders I request a phone call to hear about your intentions to buy. Also, I'll accept a deposit through Paypal but the remainder to be in the form of cashier check, cash or bank to bank wire transfer. I'm not hard to get along with I just want to sell my car to qualified and serious bidders. Call Tom with questions any time....402-650-3849
A couple more things. The car is being sold as-is and a $300 deposit to be sent via Paypal 48 hours end of auction, balance as stated above in 7 days. The car is stored outside in a secure fenced in area. It's an industrial area and your transporter will have no problem coming in and out. It will not drive on obviously but I will assist loading.
