1937 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
This truck started out as a 1937 Chevrolet C40 tow truck and is titled as that. I bought a 66 GMC G20 3/4 ton truck and scrapped the body. It has a rebuilt from the crankshaft up, new bearings, rings, camshaft, camelback 2.02 327 heads, Weiand High rise single plane intake, Edelbrock 650 carb, Aluminum bird catcher, Accel coil, Gear drive timing, Sideshot exhaust straight pipe running out just below the doors behind flappers. 4 speed manual transmission that the levers have been shortened to accomodat 4" body drop, 6" chop on the roof, has all the windows (side 2 are broken and tinted which is what i wanted, new ones from any glass company are $50 to cut) Heater Core and VW blower/heater under the dash with high/low switch and works awesome, Northern AluminumRadiator. All Floorboards and bed have been widened to fit on the 66 chassis about 12"s so it looks suped wide and low, widened and lengthened 50s Ford bed that i stretched 12"s wider and about 14"s longer to haul a couple choppers in the back with a removable ramp in the bed. Clear coated rust and original paint, all natural with a clear. Power steering, disc brake front conversion, All the Intake, scoop, valve covers, bell housing, and fan Metalflaked with House of Kolor Paigan Gold Candy and silver pintripes. This truck has basically been my daily driver for last 2 years in Utahand it gets cold, thats why all the windows and heater. Good tires, fresh fluids, battery, and alternator.Hate to sell it but were buying a house. If you are a sissy or you dont like being stopped by people wanting to stop you and talk about how fu€kin rad your truck is, move on then. Runs and drives pretty dam good and can do some burnouts pretty easy. Not a brand new truck that you never have to touch, just like any fine lookin piece, you gotta get up in it sometimes. That being said, this thing is rediculous fun and makes you feel like a kid on Christmas that gotthe cool stuff. As far as gauges, theres a Tach, yep, learn to drive listening and watching what your truck is doin, no hood so its pretty easy to watch. I can deliver up to 300 miles for $300
