1966 Mustang Black| 1965 Impala 409 !!! Here is an absolutely beautiful and extremely rare 1965 Impala 4 speed and is equipped with a 409!!!! This rare Impala is in excellent condition and looks and drives beautifully!!!! This is one of the last 409 cars built, as later in 1965 GM switched to the 396ci. The biggest difference being that the Beach Boys never sang a song about a 396 (couldn't resist). This Impala has a fantastic sleeper look to it. It is not an SS car. There were very few non SS 409 cars built. Couple that with the fact that this is a factory black on black car and retains its factory numbers matching engine... this is one rare rare big block muscle car!!! This car is 100% rust free and very solid. This car is in very nice shape, the black paint is beautiful, the black interior is in great shape as well. This is an excellent driving Impala. There is LOTS of money that has been poured into this car and it truly shows. The car has a great "muscle car idle," and sounds EXACTLY the way a muscle car should. This is a great collectible classic that is surely to appreciate in value over the next several years!!! Click to enlarge Exterior: This Impala looks great finished in its beautiful black paint finish and sitting on a set of dog dish style wheels. The overall look is very subtle and menacing at the same time. The doors, hood and trunk gaps are all very nice and everything opens and shuts with ease. The car was completely disassembled, hood, trunk, glass, trim etc.. was all removed and painted separately. The paint has a very "deep" look and has a great shine since it was a Base coat/Clear coat paint job. When the car was painted, it was done properly. All of the rubber seals were replaced after the car was painted and are all in great condition. Also all of the lights, lenses and bezels have been replaced as well. All of the chrome is in nice condition as well. This is a car that you could bring to a local car show and show it with pride, or you could go on great long weekend drives in. The engine starts right up and doesn't blow any smoke. The cars transmission shifts great through all 4 gears and the linkage feels very nice. The transmission shifts smoothly, is very responsive and is in great working order. The car runs nice and cool even in Arizona's hot and dry climate.
