1965 Chevrolet Impala Additional Info:
AFTER THE FIRST BID THE BUY IT NOW GOES AWAY!Complete numbers matching big block 4 speed cars are ultra rare and nearly impossible to find. If you are going to invest money in restoring a car the only way it makes sense to invest the amount of money it takes to do it right is to restore a numbers matching car. If you don't want to restore, then find a good Impala, Belair or Biscayne and drop this drive line in to make a great tribute car. Can you imagine driving this car when finished? This auction is for a 1965 Chevy Impala SS 396 L-35 4 speed (Muncie M-21) 12 bolt posi. This is a numbers matching car with the original drive line in tact. It was represented to me as having 21000 original miles. See pic of previous title showing mileage as actual. My Pa title also shows mileage as 21,XXX mi. The seats are dirty but don't appear worn like a high mile car. It appears engine has never been apart and the spark plug heat shields are not bent up and are still in tact which is a good indication motor has not been fooled with much or at all. I never took anything apart to verify motor bore and crank journal condition or size. Car sits with engine, transmission and rear end still in car and it rolls and steers. Car was hit in drivers side front fender. There is a wrinkle just in front of the drivers door and behind front drivers tire and a wrinkle on the floor just inside of that I try to show this in the pics.Solid frame and floor. Trunk and both front and rear windshield frames have the normal rust out issues and need restored. If it weren't for the rust in window frames and trunk this care would be solid. The floor and frame is amazingly solid. Has 3 of the original steel wheels on it in good shape. There is a 3 piece trunk pan replacement panel set. Rear quarter repair panels. There are newball joints, control arm bushings, coil springs, tail light lenses, emblems and many extra parts. I do not have front windshield, radiator or radiator support. I believe all parts original to car are in boxes including original tach and many new parts (except front windshield, radiator and core support). See pictures of a restored car (not this car) with the same color combination this car was originally built with. I figure the drive line alone is worth it to transplant into a good body. Parted out I would expect to get 1500 minimum for the 12 bolt posi, 1750 minimum for the Muncie M-21 and 3500 minimum for the 396 oil pan to air cleaner. That equals 6750 and thats splitting it up. Numbers matching makes it rare and more valuable. Thats 6750 not including the rest of the car and new parts. I see factory correct shifters with linkage sell for 750, the 4 speed pedal conversion goes for 500 or more, front and rear seats sell for 500 I could go on about the value of a correct complete car. I cant bring myself to part this car out. Paypal deposit of $250 within 48 hours of auction end. Balance in cash due within 7 days of auction end. I have car advertised locally and I reserve the right to end auction early if i get a reasonable offer. 814 661 3160 I can help load onto trailer and load all parts. Will need to have room for spare bumper and all the boxed parts. Check out my 100% feedback.
