1962 Cadillac Eldorado Baritz
Series 62 Convertible 2-Door 6.4L
I have decided to sell my 1962 Cadillac Eldorado Baritz Series 62 Convertible 2-Door 6.4L. I am the third owner and the car was purchased in Jacksonville, FL and was a low mileage rust free car. I decided to send the car to Los Angeles to have a complete ground up restoration under the supervision of Calvin Jones, a longtime Cadillac and Lasalle member. The work was performed by Universal Custom Auto in Lomita, CA.
This is a low production automobile (1450).
Only 2 are registered with Cadillac Lasalle Club,
and approximately 90 exist and less than 1% in this condition.
The car has the 390 motor, Jetway Transmission and Rochester Carb.
- The car was stripped to bare metal and painted the original color - Alpine White ($9000).
- The engine and carb were resealed and tuned, and the transmission was rebuilt by Hiro Transmission in Gardena, CA ($4500)
- Brake system was replaced, along with rear axle seals by Miller Brake and Alignment - Long Beach, CA ($2500)
- More than ($17,000) was spent on restoring the chrome, stainless, powder coating by Supreme Plating.
- Upholstery was hand selected and purchased at Veteran Upholstery along with Robbins canvas top/glass rear window and upgraded Mercedes carpet. ($16,000)
- Convertible Motor/cylinders were replaced and installed by Convertible Services ($2500)
- Dash board was restored bu Just Dashes - Burbank, CA ($1200)
- Dash cluster and clock were restored - $1000
- All lenses/headlights (T-3s) and entire electrical system was restored by Highbeam Electrical - Los Angeles - ($5000)
- New glass, windshield and door motors were replaced by Manchester Glass - Los Angeles - ($2000)
- Tires - New Coker American Classic white wall tires with speed balanced powder coated wheels - Performance Plus - ($2000)
- New rubber parts and door seals purchased and installed - Steele Rubber/Universal Custom Auto and Santy Upholstery - ($3000)
