Here up for bids is this in-the-wrapper Eldorado convertible. The car has had just 2 owners, oth in California, he 2nd owner bought it as a lease return in 1978. It is still on its California Pink Slip from 1978. The car was recently brought to Portland when the owner became too old to drive, t was entrusted to her son-in-law who is a professional mechanic. Before offering the car for sale he performed a once over to insure the car was road ready. Aside from a new set of tires the car is extremely original, n incredible example of Cadillac's "last convertible".

Finished in the desirable color of Firethorn, ode 36, he paint is alll original and in fantastic condition. Straight, lossy, nd glass smooth, he car presents extremely well. Zero rust issues anywhere, o bubbling, o blistering, o problems. Both bumpers are straight and clean with excellent original chrome. The reflections you see on the bottom of the bumper in the 1st photo below are of the pavement. All 4 tires as as-new, ll 4 wheelcovers are in terrific condition.
All of the car's trim and chrome are in great shape with no trace of pitting. Grill is outstanding, he original pinstriping is still perfect, mblems are great - basically this car is a time warp back to 1976.
All of the glass is original and shows no wear. Front and rear bumper filler panels are all clean and pliable with no stress cracks.
The soft top is original to the car, t shows some minor wrinkling and color blanching in the areas that fold, therwise very nice. This is an extremely heavy top, he scissor operation opens and closes correctly and all of the weatherstripping is mint. The fiberglass parade boot shows some light scratches, t comes with its original storage slipcase.
Excellent trunk with original jacking equipment, pace saver spare, nused air cannister and 2 wooden chocks. All of the car's weatherstripping is original and still soft and pliable.
Most Firethorn Eldorados came with white interiors, r at the least a white top, t's unusual to find a triple red example. The dealer delivery sill guard plastic is still in place from 40 years ago. It's a snap to remove it (4 screws on each sill plate) but I certainly wasn't going to be the one to make that decision!
All of the leather upholstery is in fantastic shape. Door panels, arpet - all incredibly well preserved.
The fiber optic signal and brake indicator above the back seat works, s well as the fender mounted units. Dash pad is perfect. All of the 'wood' trim is flawless as well.
The climate control system functions correctly, he AC system was just serviced and blows cold. Steering wheel is mint, orn has the classic Cadillac freight train sound. Gauges and accesories all work except for the clock. The power antenna and AM-FM radio both work, s well as the 8-track player. Power windows, ower locks and power seat all work great.
All 4 ashtrays are unused. Underdash area is clean and undisturbed.
The 8.2L 500ci engine was the largest production motor ever offered at the time, his powerplant is a monster and moves the car with authority. Smooth seamless power on demand, his Cadillac is great on the road. Starts instantly, uns perfectly, hifts perfectly, asically operates like a car with 12K miles on it.
Inspection tags and chalk marks still visible throughout the engine bay.
All original undercarriage, ight down to the exhaust. One look underneath tells you that this was a California car.
