This beautiful survivor is a two-owner car. It was my father who bought it from the original owner in 1962. It was his pride and joy for 63 years with memories of vacations and family outings. Family life got busy some time ago and over the years the Cadillac would sit in storage. About 5 or 6 years ago my dad started getting it out each summer and periodically enjoying drives around town and short highway trips.
The 390 still runs great and doesn’t smoke but does have a ticking sound. The wide white wall tires have hardly any miles on them and stopping is no issue as it has new brakes, master cylinder and brake booster. The original carburetor has been replaced. The speedometer recently stopped working showing 70k miles. (I believe it is 170k miles) At nearly nineteen feet long and five thousand pounds the car embodies the spirit of America and traveling in luxury. Whether you are floating down the highway or cruising the boulevard, this car attracts attention! Every stop light is an invitation for instant fans to give up a thumbs up or to engage in conversion as my dad frequently did. Feel free to ask any questions. Will do my best to answer!
