1985 Cadillac Eldorado Commemorative Edition Additional Info:
This 1985 Cadillac Eldorado Commemorative Edition is a low-mileage, well-preserved special luxury machine. After all, the elegance of the personal coupe is only heightened by a well-coordinated two-tone inside and out. Part of it was exclusive to this limited run, and some is also some great custom additions. So this is a classic that offers luxury and extra exclusivity.
This was the final year for the tenth-generation Eldorado, and Cadillac celebrated with the limited edition Commemorative Edition. There was a good bit to celebrate here, because this car had accomplished holding up Cadillac's position of a favorite for style, luxury, and power. After all, this Eldorado was smaller than its predecessor, so it could fit in the modern world, but it was never compact. This Caddy owned the road with its long hood, crisp lines, and elegant details. That tradition continues on this example, because it has averaged less than 1,400 miles annually. The Cotillion White is likely the factory application, and it has the gloss of a car that was only used for special occasions. Commemorative Edition cars were quite special with special badging, gold accenting, and an artful blue and gold pinstripe that highlights the best curves of this Caddy. While that already make this quite distinctive, this one is exceptional because there is the addition of the navy blue lower section to give this a classic two-tone appearance. And we know you immediately spotted the upgraded continental kit on the rear.
The custom white and navy exterior is a particularly pleasing upgrade, because the Commemorative Edition cars had an exclusive blue and white interior. So this example really delivers a terrific uniform total package inside and out. Low mileage means little seat time, and so you really get to show off this special leather with pride. Carpeting was even wrapped in plastic to help aid the preservation of this coupe. But you'll love this for more than just it's history. Cadillac built these as true personal luxury machines. Fold-down armrests in both rows means individual space for everyone, and the front seats independently power adjust. You have all the best features, like power windows, power locks, electric rear defrost, the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo, and automatic climate control now blowing cold with R134a air conditioning. The steering wheel has the special Commemorative Edition badging, and beyond that, the digital dash is a marvel of its time.
Under the hood is a very stock and tidy presentation of the numbers-matching motor. Cadillac's 4.1-liter V8 utilized lightweight aluminum construction and fuel injection to give it the kind of brisk acceleration that keeps this coupe worthy of its Eldorado heritage. These cars are designed for all-day comfort even on the highway, and so the motor is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Power steering, cruise control, and four-wheel power disc brakes make it easy to enjoy near or far. And while the Eldorado continues Cadillac's tradition of a plush ride, the fully-independent suspension delivers it with added grace.
Complete with the owner's manual, there are less than 2,500 Commemorative Edition Eldorados believed to have been produced. How many do you think are left that look this good and have personal touches? So if you love true distinction, call today!
