For your consideration is a 1987 Cadillac Allante. It is a two seat luxury sports car, ith the emphasis on personal luxury. This car, nd other Allante’s, ere assembled mechanically by Cadillac and were then sent to Italy to the Pinin Farina design plant where the bodies were assembled and the car was completed based on Pinin Farina’s design. They were then shipped back to the US and sold. This car originally sold for $55,000. The body appears to be rust free and the paint looks about flawless. It has a deep shine and is very smooth to the touch. The body has a few dings most notably on the driver’s door and the front bumper. The door dings are so small, hey do not show in the pictures. The Allante has a removable fiberglass hardtop if you want an open air driving experience. The soft top frame is there but the top but the top needs to be replaced. The mechanism that operates the top also needs work. The chrome wheels shine nicely. The wreath on one wheel is off and the Cadillac crest is off another. Both parts are with the car and will need to be re-attached. The Allante has a rich leather interior with deep pile carpeting. It is original but is in very good condition. No rips, ears or any seriously worn spots. There is a carpeted storage area behind the seats. All gauges are working as they should. The Radio and 8 Track player and the passenger side door lock will need attention. The door can be locked by the key but not by the switch. The engine is a 4.1 liter V8 with a 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission. The car runs out very well, andles well and stops fine. Recently, he radiator, lternator and belts were replaced.
