1947 Cadillac Series 75 Additional Info:
I have a 1947 Cadillac Series 75 formal limousine with retractable divider window, manual transmission, power windows. The car has been in dry storage since the mid 1990s; I have had it for 10 years in storage in a warehouse in central NJ. The car is very restorable, but car will need a complete and total restoration. The 346 flathead engine has seized from sitting, although it does have oil in the cylinders now for some time. The previous owner said it was running and driving when he stopped using it 20+ years ago. The odometer shows about 82,000 miles; I have no idea what the true miles are.
This vehicle is complete, but does not have fender skirts. The body is solid, and the paint is not bad. Chrome all needs to be replated. Underneath shows surface rust on the chassis. Glass is good. The brake fluid has evaporated or leaked, and the pedal goes to the floor. Interior is complete, but it all needs to be covered or replaced, including the headliner.
The vehicle is not titled; it has a transferable registration from New York state from the previous owner (last registered in 1994).
Feel free to ask any question. As I stated, this limo is very restorable, but it's a project. They are beautiful cars when restored. You will need a flatbed truck or extended deck trailer with a winch to move it. It may be possible for it to remain in storage for a while at your expense monthly, which can be discussed with the buyer. (Vehicle is in NJ). The vehicle is for sale locally, so I will reserve the option to cancel this posting if it sells. I will not sell to an overseas buyer or agree to any arrangement for shipping to an overseas buyer.
