1968 Buick GS 350 California Additional Info:

Up for auction here is one rare Buick!when do you ever see a GS 350 California??!!having built just 4,831 of them, it's a cool car! It is all here and 100% complete has factory A/C and power steering. 280hp 350 4bbl. I've had the car just about a year and wanted to bring it back to its glory of being new again, as I had one of these cars as my first car and wanted to reminisce my youth of having another one with no desire to ever sell it. Well here it is! We all know as car enthusiasts how easy it can be to have too many irons in the fire LOL and that's where I'm at to many projects already on my plate. So the GS needs to go to someone that can give it all the attention it needs and deserves. It's a solid original California car since new floors, trunk pan, quarters, rockers, fenders all 100% solid. It does have the typical A body GM rust around the rear window as seen in the pictures but for being a vinyl top car I've seen way worse. And also under the battery tray again common on these. It did have the top still on it when I bought it but it was trashed from the sun and I wanted to see what was going on underneath it. It is an original black vinyl top car. The pictures show all not hiding anything this car is or isn't. Has been repainted but years ago and has had some repair done on the passenger quarter panel as you can see there was primer under the top. But that is solid no rust. It had been sitting since 2002 when I bought it. So it need some things to get it going. It got a new brake master cylinder, valve cover gaskets, oil pump and oil pressure sending unit. Car really drives good and runs better the more you drive it. After all it had sat almost 14 years. I did find all the work I've done and getting to know the car it does have a fairly new transmission which is Buicks 2 speed version of the powerglide known as the super turbine 300. The heater core went out right after I got it running so I bypassed it. Again not hiding anything. Its got 168k miles on it and runs really good going down the road but the oil light will come on at low idle, but goes right out as soon as you give it throttle and is out going down the road. I really wish I could keep this car around and make it new again, but I'm a realist and I know that I will never have the time to get to it. So please bid with confindence it's a head turner even as an original car!
