1968 Buick Other GS 400 Additional Info:
OK. I know you have all seen this before but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE,, do not bid on the car if there is anyone else in your life that can tell you that you cannot buy it. A wonderful 79 year old man bought the car and even sent me the deposit before his daughter and "significant other" told him he couldn't buy it.
Only a few weeks ago there was a 1968 GS 400 convertible here on e-bay that was covered in surface rust and needing total restoration but bid up in the mid teens twice simply because it was a solid California car. This car is a better optioned true black plate California car. If you remotely thought the other car was worth the money than this car is a no brainer. It’s a super clean low mileage California Car with A/C Power Windows and the right color combo. 1968 Buick GS 400 Convertible. I purchased from California in Dec. 2008. Previous owner did a rotisserie nut and bolt restoration after his brother died. His brother had owned the car since 1973. I have 28K in receipts for parts and paint in 2004 dollars. I have the California black plates and a copy of the California title. I have a written history from him going back to 1973. The car has not seen a raindrop since I had it shipped enclosed from California almost 9 years ago. Every new part that was available for this car at the time was purchased. From new interior to every line, hose, harness, ect. ect ect. New top, even a new windshield. Drivetrain and suspension were rebuilt front to rear. All the stainless and chrome is nice and clean. Car is very original. A/C, Power Windows, P/D/B. Factory correct Poly Mist Blue and White Interior. 116K original miles on car. Motor, Transmission and rear end are all original, matching #'s and completely rebuilt. All have less than 5k miles on them. It has the factory 4 piston disc brakes and the correct Chevy style rallys that were specific to 67 and 68 GS’s with factory discs. Every body panel including the floors are original and clean. The frame rails are smooth . No pitting like you see on 99% of the cars out there . The restoration was nicely done. The door jams are detailed and nice, not an after thought. Every part of this car is clea, clean, clean. California clean. And, oh yeah, it is balls fast and a blast to drive. A rare, super comfortable ride that gets up and goes. A Chevell, GTO, or 442 in this condition would be 50k plus and you’d see 5 others at every car show. This cars value has only one way to go. Up, Up, Up. You are welcome to send someone or come inspect the car yourself . If you are part of the Buick club world, the premier Buick "nut" in New York knows the car very well and can verify everything here. A/C compressor new but A/C was never hooked up. Restorer hadn't finished A/C hook up and I never did. It needs a condenser . Ask me anything and I will be as honest as possible. E-mail me with a phone number and I will get back to you promptly. A $1000 deposit via paypal or wire transfer is required within 48 of purchase and the balance in cash or by wire transfer before the car will be released. Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. A video of the car running and driving can be seen at: https://youtu.be/kER8k_qkK-c

Sorry I forgot to place interior shots on the listing. The edit feature would only allow me to add the three interior pics I added today. .Interior was completely done as part of the restoration. If you are serious and need additional interior or other pics just email me. There is some shadowing in pics, I apologize I should have looked at them before packing the car away. Interior is consistent white through and through.
