1973 Buick Riviera Additional Info:
I am selling my 1973 Buick Riviera. This car is original and unmolested. It was built in Flint Michigan and purchased new in Sioux City Iowa in 1973 by Norman, retired Navy veteran and Iowa farmer. He was the one and only owner of the car until I purchased it from him in 2015. According to Norman, e and his wife were the only people to ever drive the car, nd it shows. The car is in fantastic condition inside and out. The Burnt Coral paint with factory pin striping is 100% original, o repaints or touchups anywhere. The cream vinyl top is original and in mint condition. The original Buick plastic bug guard is still even in place on the front of the car. When you sit in this car, t feels like a nice classic car. The door handles are all tight and proper, verything looks and feels well cared for. The doors close easily and the car just drives like it was meant to.
The drivetrain is all original, ever rebuilt, nd is mechanically perfect. Since I've owned the car, 've installed various new parts to ensure the vehicle is reliable and roadworthy. The car has a new starter, ll new steering components, ew belts and fluids, fresh oil change, new tires including matching spare, front end alignment, nd a professional tuneup. This car has been looked over and serviced by my mechanics and is turn-key ready. I would trust it to drive anywhere.
The suspension is all original, ven original shocks, o this car rides just like it did in 1973. And if you've ever driven a 1973 Buick, ou know how comfortable and enjoyable that is. The 1973 model year was the most luxurious driving experience of the boat tail Rivieras. The car tracks straight and true, o vibration or drama at any speed. It's smooth, owerful, nd very quiet on the highway. The brakes are spot on and require no service. No pulling or undesirable shakes or shimmies.
I have the original build sheet listing all the options as it came from the factory. This car has power windows, ower locks and power seats that all work great. All the exterior and interior lights work perfectly. The windshield wipers and horn work great. Climate control works very nicely. Even the original AM/8-track radio plays with the original speakers still in the car. It has the Buick "Max-Trac" option, hich is a switch-operated locking rear differential of sorts for added traction on slippery surfaces.
As for the interior, t can't really be any nicer than it already is. There is virtually no wear showing anywhere. The only spot to mention is the armrest on the driver door does have a small crack on it where a person's elbow naturally wants to rest. Other than that, verything from the carpet to the headliner is simply beautiful and unblemished.
Other little odds and ends... The cruise control does not work. The fuel gauge reads full all the time. I have installed a new fuel sending unit but the issue remains, o it may be the gauge in the dash. If this is a concern, can have my mechanics look further into the issue prior to selling the vehicle. Since there have been no touchups to the exterior paint, t could use a few touchups here and there, othing major though.
In conclusion, am a private seller with a clear Wisconsin title in my name. I am looking to sell this classic to somebody who will truly appreciate it for what it is. I am not looking to sell fast or for an insulting price. Please, o solicitors or scammers. I do not want help selling the vehicle.
