1973 Buick Riviera Additional Info:
1973 BUICK RIVIERA SPORT COUPE
BUCKET SEATS /CONSOLE SHIFT
Equipment: Power steering, power brakes, power windows, six way power driver's bucket seat, power door locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, five Buick sport wheels, original spare in trunk.
Cold factory air conditioning, optional front bumper guards and working lamp monitors for headlights and turn signals. Working clock, am/fm stereo radio (disconnected for after market underdash am/fm CD/iPod unit with remote).
New 225 70 15 inch Toyo radials, excellent dual exhaust with correctly cut tips. New a/c compressor, belts, tune up, battery, master cylinder, positraction fluid and gasket changed.
Interior: Original with exception of new carpeting. Headliner/sun visors excellent. Seat upholstery excellent with exception of one tear in the drivers seat back, shown in picture. Dash has minor hair line crack at left front speaker area. Kick pads and pedals fine.
Engine bay:Lots of chrome. Appears to have been done some time ago, I have no idea when. Engine has not been detailed.
Driveline: Quiet and smooth 455 cubic inch Buick engine. Shifts and performs very nice. Positraction rear differential with new fluid and gasket.
Other Details: Repainted original code 81 Bamboo Cream color at some undetermined time. All glass, stainless, and chrome appear to be original. Roof rail weatherstrips and underhood insulation are new.
Currently not working: right door lock actuator, horn, and cruise control (servo is bad.) Speedometer works, however with bad servo the speedometer jumps.
I have driven this Riviera over 700 miles this summer. It performs and handles very well. I have described this car with care to emphasize that it is not a show car or "new car" but a reliable vintage Buick ready to enjoy.
