DESCRIPTION:

For sale by a private party is this one-family owned and very original 82,000-mile 1962 Buick LeSabre 2-door Sport Coupe hardtop powered by the numbers matching 401 cu. in. ‘nailhead’ Wildcat V8 rated at 280 horsepower. The Buick was originally ordered by the Grandfather in October 1961 and was passed down to the Father and finally the son who has decided to sell it. Documentation as well as the original owner’s manual’s, and some maintenance records are included.

Factory options include the Turbo-Jet 3 speed automatic transmission, AM radio, power steering, and power brakes (drum).

The body retains the factory original “Cameo Cream” exterior which has never been repainted or repaired. Please note the 64 year old paint is starting to show some age, so view all photos carefully. The exterior chrome is in excellent condition except for a couple of ‘dings’ here and there. All the glass is believed to be original.

The interior looks fantastic in the original fawn beige. All the factory gauges function, even the AM radio. The interior chrome is in near perfect condition.

All the exterior lights, such as turn signals, brake lights, and back up lights work.

Approximately 5 years ago the following work was performed on the LeSabre:

Tune up with new points, plugs, rotor, condenser, battery.

Flush fuel tank and add new sending unit, rebuild carburetor.

Service the brake system including new master cylinder, brake lines, drums, and shoes.

New front-end bushings

New exhaust system

Service of the Turbo-Jet 3-speed transmission.

Flush the cooling system

New belts and hoses

New Hankook 225/75R5 radial tires.
