1970 Buick Riviera Additional Info:
Reconditioned classic Riviera. Beautiful paint new in 2017, original upholstery in excellent condition, new carpet and mats, cold ac, strong running 455 with high compression motor, three angle valve job and hardened seats. Cylinders all looked great when it was apart. Turbo 400 trans shifts smoothly, newer dual exhaust with stock mufflers but no resonators. Nice soft rumble. Clean trunk, all solid floors with the drivers floor pan replaced. The rest of the car is solid. Front and rear bumpers and grille hoop re-chromed as well as a few pieces of the side trim. The original radio is in the car and probably works. Secret audio set up and will stay with the car. Odometer stopped at 92K and has had probably 3K put on it since. Tires are 1 year old with maybe 1000 miles, probably less. Had them made at Diamond Back Radials with 1.6" White Walls. Rides very smooth and quiet. The car runs well, very strong and quick for a beast this size. Horse power rating from the factory was 370 but friends that worked at the Flint plant assured me it came out of the box at 430. Was under rated for insurance purposes back then and was not detuned yet with smog controls. Compression remains stock at 10.0:1 It is also rated at 510ft/lbs torque. She is strong. Originally the red head step child of the Rivieras at the time, it is now becoming more desirable. Never see another one when I take it to shows and always turns heads.
