1980 Buick Regal Additional Info:
I am the second owner of this car. This vehicle has never been in an accident. It is originally a Virginia car, and has been registered in Pennsylvania, and now Maryland. Although the body, chassis, and 7.5" rear have 91k original miles, the engine has approximately 500 miles, and 700R4 transmission is brand new with about 100 miles on it. This car has undergone a partial yet meticulous resto-mod for 18 months.
It was dyno-tuned at Maryland Performance Center, resulting in 383 HP & 436 ft/lbs torque. This project was expensive, time consuming, and painstaking. The only reason I have decided to sell is because I have an 87 Grand National I would like to begin to modify. This car has over 22k invested in parts, labor, shipping, handling, and incidentals. Only someone who has restored a vehicle can understand how expensive it is to basically rebuild a car.
I have objective evidence in the form of meticulous documentation as proof. As you can imagine, I can't just give it away, so if you are a fan of the old school G-Body Regal, and you want one that most of the work has been completed then this is probably your car. This car does the G-Body shuffle with the best of them, and it smokes the ever living hell out of the tires while it does so. The engine roars, the interior fills up with smoke, and other drivers are shocked and awed. Throw in a Moser or Currie rear end and the car is complete.
A few things it could still use are a new steering gear, and rear lower and upper control arm bushings. I have a brand new rear sway bar, turn signal indicator, am/fm cassette deck which I would be happy to throw in as part of the deal. I also have a spare Turbo Sport Coupe Hood as well as the Flat Hood if you are so inclined.
