European Motor Studio is excited to offer this unusual find. A 1984 BMW 733i finished in Burgundrot Metallic over Parchment leather. This single owner 733i is a highly original car down to original paint (which has been metered) and original leather interior. With a build date of July 1984, this 733i is one of the very last 733i's off the production line and the only year the 733i model came with the 4-speed transmission. Invoiced to BMW North America and... delivered to Sears Imported Autos, INC where the car sold new to its first owner shortly after. Having lived under the same ownership from 1984 to 2019, this highly original E23 sedan has always seen the proper care and maintenance since new. After spending the first 14 years in Minnesota, this 7-Series moved to Arizona with the same owner and used as a secondary car at the owners winter home. A very extensive service file accompanies the car dating back to 1985 to present, documenting the BMW dealership and BMW specialty shops for the service and repairs. The Burgundrot Metallic paint has been paint metered and verified as completely original (minus a touch up to the nose band around the BMW emblem). The paint still retains a very nice shine throughout showing a few areas with small clear coat issues (pictured). Overall the car has a great original look to it, showing some age but still showing proper care and storage. The body is very straight and rust free (very lite surface rust on some of the finish on the undercarriage but no rust or damage). The interior is in beautiful condition showing very little wear and age. The leather is still very soft and shows incredibly well with minor creasing on the driver side seat bolster. The dashboard shows remarkably well and does not show any cracking or shrinkage which is very typical of BMW's from this era. The open face wood is in gorgeous condition with one minor chip on the lower wood panel by the shifter. All of the switchgear is in excellent condition as is the center console and dash cluster. The carpets are in excellent condition with just a few minor spots in the driver footwell but no rips or fraying. The 3.2 liter straight six BMW built engine starts right up and idles smoothly, free from any smoke. The engine runs silky smooth after just having a full tune up and service. New plugs and wires, fresh fluids and all of the injectors removed and professionally cleaned out. The AC has just been converted to R134 and blows ice cold and the car has newer tires on it from this year. All of the electronics on the car are operating as designed including all of the windows, locks, sunroof, power seats, power mirrors, exterior and interior lights, original factory radio (power antenna works but does get stuck part way down) and all interior and exterior lights are operating. All of the gauges are reading correctly (the temp needle does stick sometimes) including the onboard computer, the onboard check control system and the service interval indicator in the gauge cluster. The E23 7-Series was the first 7-Series BMW produced and has become a rare sight to see, sadly with so few left in this kind of condition. This example, having had one owner from 1984 to 2019, shows proper care and pride of ownership. With a very extensive and complete service file dating back to new, this E23 is also accompanied with its original owners handbook, service/warranty book and radio book. The original 1984 733i US dealer brochure is present along with 2 original BMW keys, the original tool kit, the original spare tire, a clean Carfax and a clean title. The rear bumper has been converted to a Euro style bumper and a front Euro bumper is present with the car.
