1988 BMW M3 Additional Info:
This auction is for a 1988 BMW M3 roller project car. This car was in an accident approximately 18 years ago and has been parked since. The passenger wheel was pushed into the wheel well / kick panel area. Other affected areas due to the impact are firewall, frame rail, crossmember, rack and pinion, a small buckle in the roof and also the doors do not line up when shut. They still close and latch but there is a bit of gap on the passenger door and possibly a small amount on the driver door. Shortly after the accident some of the suspension parts were replaced in order to make it a roller but the metal work has not been repaired. Despite the accident the car has a clean title. The accident that took the car off the road was not claimed on insurance. All the panels that are pictured have matching vin numbers. Estimated mileage on the car is around 154k. There is no rust on the car that I see. The floor, windshield cowl, and trunk area seem to be free of rust. This car has lived it's whole life in Texas and Arkansas. The car still has the original 5 lug suspension. The wiring seems to be there but I'm not sure if the engine wiring is complete.
What you see in the pictures is what you will get. There is no spare parts. It does not have the engine, transmission, passenger fender, and passenger side skirt. Also, most of the interior is not there. The only interior items are the b and c pillar covers, the header panel near the windshield, and the headliner except the headliner for the sunroof. It does have all the glass. The wheels I believe are from an e34 5 series.
The car does have dings and scratches. The front bumper has a few cracks and paint scuffed. The passenger quarter panel has dent near the trunk lid. The rear spoiler has the common cracks in the paint. It has some tape residue on both doors. I tried to keep it sealed up as possible during storage. Several years ago the car was in a hail storm. I had several tarps and a car cover on the car but the hood, roof and some spots on the side panels received hail damage.
Please contact me with any questions before bidding. If you would like to set up a time to look at the car before the listing ends that is fine also. The car is being offered to buyers in the U.S.A only. All other bids will not be accepted. Cash payment only. The winning bidder will need to pick the car up from my location. This car is sold as is. What you see is what you get.
Please don't let my feedback scare you. I have been an eBay member since 2002. The two negative feed backs that have brought my score down are from the same buyer for the same item. I cancelled a listing twice because a buyer wanted me to ship outside of the U.S. The ad clearly stated U.S. shipping only and I told the buyer U.S shipping only via email but he still bid and left negative feedback for both auctions when I would not ship him the item.
