1971 BMW 2002 Additional Info:
I purchased this 1971 BMW 2002 in 2009 and completed the initial restoration in 2011. I sold it to a local friend who enjoyed it until early 2018 at which time I bought it back and refreshed a few things in need. I also updated the interior, installed a Getrag 245 5-speed, Ireland Engineering exhaust and completed a number of other improvements. I drove it to Vintage 2018 in Hot Springs, NC, the largest gathering of classic BMWs on the east coast, where it was awarded People’s Choice from over 600 registered attendees. That’s the only car specific award given at Vintage and it was during the 50th anniversary year of the iconic 2002. It’s a stunning, one of a kind, car that performs well and draws a lot of positive attention. Build details follow for work between 2011-2019:

Oil was just changed with Brad Penn 20W50 and a new Mann filter. Brake fluid flushed as well with new master cylinder and wheel cylinders. I estimate about 12,000 miles have been driven since the 2011 restoration. Total miles unknown.
