1988 BMW 6-Series 635 CSi Additional Info:
Selling my 1988 BMW 635 CSi, hich has 57,000 original miles on it.. The car was originally an automatic and the transmission went in 2010. Having just moved from New England to Savannah, A, couldn't afford to have a dealer fix the transmission and also didn't trust anyone to rebuild it, o I converted it to a stick. The donor car was a 1988 535 and EVERYTHING was taken, .e. transmission, rive shaft, ear end, lutch assembly, tc. The clutch is, bviously, ew and now has about 10,000 miles on it.
The best way I can describe it is that on the open road, t rides as smooth as a comparable era Cadillac or Lincoln, UT, nbsp;it takes turns like a BMW. City mileage isn't great, nder 15 MPG, ut, ake her out on the open road and you'll get close to 25 MPG, epending on your speed.
The rear A/C unit, hich never worked, as changed last Autumn and now works fine. The car had been converted to R-134A years ago.
One issue, he car has a rebuilt title. That being said, hile Black Book values the car at over $9,000.00, 'm willing to let it go for less.
I truly LOVE owning this car but have decided that it's time to let someone else enjoy it as I also have an M-3, hich, guess I love more. I don't drive enough to substantiate owning both cars, o one of them has to go.
