1960 Austin Healey Sprite Bugeye Sprite Roadster Additional Info:

**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN THE AD LISTING PAGE TO VIEW A COMPLETE SET OF DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE VEHICLE**Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this attractive and fun Bugeye Sprite. This car was just recently purchased from a family in the Pacific Northwest that comprehensively restored the car down to the bare tub a while back and then enjoyed it as their weekend driver. The car comes with a nice photo album of the restoration and some recent receipts for the tune up, major service, and some other fettling it just received to prepare it for sale. This Bugeye Sprite has been correctly restored with it's original driveline, wheels, and braking system. Most of these cars have been modified during their restoration process, but this car has been left bone stock mechanically, which is attractive to the collector. This car is in good general condition overall and is wearing an older restoration. The modest paintwork is showing some imperfections and blemishes most likely due to age/use and some poor prep work. Body panel fit overall is OK.The body tub looks very solid with evidence of only a driver's side floor replacement panel and a small patch in the RH rear corner. The car's underside is very tidy and looks perfectly normal for a restored car with some use.The car's interior is in good condition with great condition upholstered vinyl seats, a nice dashboard, black loop carpet, and a set of good sidecurtains with black top (that needs a few snaps installed). The car's engine compartment is very clean and nicely detailed and is still presenting well after the restoration. It has been correctly painted body color. The engine retains it's ID tag indicating it's a 948cc unit. The VIN plate and body tag in the driver's door is also present. The car's engine starts easily on the pull of the cable and has very good oil pressure running at 55psi and 25psi at hot idle. It is willing and revs very well. There is a small exhaust leak up front, most likely on the downpipe. The car's steering/suspension is very responsive. The brake pedal is firm right at the top, and the car stops OK standing hard on the brakes. Typical drums setup...The clutch bites very well at the top of the release. The gearbox is in decent overall health with a positive gearshift feel and a very good non-syncro first gear. Syncromesh on 2,3,4 is a little weak if hurried. Ultimately, an immensely fun driver that can be hurried/pushed briskly around the town with it's cheeky looks !This Bugeye presented for sale here is a decent little car that has received a documented older restoration. These cars offer alot of period charm and character, and are very modestly priced in today's classic car market.
