The car is in overall great shape. My father purchased the car in May of 2011 from a man in Ohio. I believe my father was the 3rd owner. There was a lot of work done on this car, all listed in the original listing, in which I have and am gladly willing to provide to serious buyers upon request.
My father decided to restore the car. I have dozens of pictures of the process of repainting the car, Carb Redo, and electrical rewiring, as well as much more. My father took great pride in this car and did a lot of work on it.
My father installed a small undercarriage tow package. I do not really know much about it, but I can do some more research if needed.
I took the car to a local certified and trusted mechanic and had a 27 point inspection done on it, and everything checked good. The car runs very strong and sounds amazing. I have driven it a couple hundred miles and its an amazing experience. I can take a video of the engine, sound, or anything else upon request.
It has been stored in a garage for the entire period of ownership.
I have never actually put the top up. It will ship with the top up and installed, or with a cover for the car.
All the switches on the dash seem to function. All the lights work. There is a newer stereo installed. The dash meters (gas, speed, etc) don't seem to be very accurate, but from my understanding this is common with the car.
The condition of the car is overall very nice. There are some issues however. The hood scoop metal is damaged and will need replacing. The paint on the sides of the scoop on the hood has bubbled on one side and the paint has cracked on the other. There is a drop of some kind of adhesive on the driver side door, the auto detail place didn't want to mess with it, but believes it can be removed. There are signs of wear on the driver side door where it has rubbed. I'm sure there are more issues with the car, but these are what I have found. Please see all of the pictures, they are considered part of the item description.
The car runs nice and strong. Neither I or a mechanic can find anything seriously noticeably wrong with it. The car is 50 years old, and has over 52K miles on the original engine. Please keep this in mind when considering to buy the car. As with anything, people's opinions and perspective of this car and its condition will vary. I cannot guarantee how you will see it. I am selling it in AS-IS condition with all intention of being completely thorough and honest about that said condition as possible. No warranty or intention of warranty. I will gladly answer any and all questions to the best of my ability, and if I cannot find the answer I will seek assistance.
$500.00 Non-Refundable deposit due within 24 hours of purchase. Complete payment due within 7 days of purchase.
I have been selling on EBay for 3 years. Mostly concentrated on Art and Vintage stereos. There is a similar attention to detail and honesty needed when selling these items. Please feel free to take a look at my feedback, it reflects the pride and integrity I take in my business.
Buyer is obviously responsible for arranging and paying for shipping of the vehicle. I am more than willing to assist in any way I can.
Minus the minor cosmetic flaws, you are getting a wonderful car that has received great care and pride through ownership over the years. If my father was still around he would never part with this car.
