1966 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII Additional Info:
This spectacular car was restored in 2013 by the highly acclaimed Healey restoration expert Kurt Tanner of Tanner Restorations in California. The car has only 1544 miles since it was restored. It is a late 1965 car that was titled as a 1966. The Austin Healey 3000 MKIII has a 150 hp engine, power-assisted brakes, improved rear suspension and ride height and the best 4-speed transmission w/electric overdrive. Luxuries include a beautiful walnut veneered dashboard, arm rest, arm bars, fold-down rear luggage shelf, roll-up windows and nice folding convertible soft-top.
Details include the factory color scheme of signature Ice Blue with navy blue Ambla trim, soft-top and boot. The professional restoration included a rebuilt engine with ancillaries, new brakes, stainless wire wheels and tires, new bare metal show quality 2-stage body and paintwork, new chrome and rubber, completely new interior, top, dashboard, windshield, wiring harness and electrics, fuel system, trunk kit, replated hardware and detailed undercarriage. An exceptional restoration to gold concours standards by the Austin-Healy marque specialist. Options include electric overdrive transmission, wire wheels, heater, and adjustable steering wheel. Super solid California car. The car is fully documented with photo album of the restoration. The car is sold with a fifth chrome wheel, top boot, knock-off manner hammer, owner's manual reprint and car cover.
