This Austin Healey "Sebring" Kit Car was bought new by a local gentleman back on September 16, 1987 for over $8,000. Shortly thereafter he fell ill and the project was put into hibernation where it was properly stored indoors for the past 30 years. This Sebring Kit Car was manufactured by Classic Roadsters LTD. and was patterned off of a 1967 Austin Healey 3000. All of the body parts are made of fiberglass with the red color molded in. None of the fiberglass is chipped, cracked or broken and not one hole was ever drilled. The only flaws in the fiberglass are several small bubbles on top of the cowl only as I photographed the best I could. The body is complete with every inside & outside panel needed to assemble this car. The beautiful and professionally constructed all metal chassis is also as new. Nothing was ever welded or bolted on or any holes drilled into it. This chassis was ordered to accommodate a small block Ford engine with a manual transmission. I received the original title from the manufacturer along with the 120-page spiral bound construction & parts book. Everything that was checked off on the original shipping list is still with the project including: Upholstered seats & door panels, carpeting, top boot, window glass, wiring harnesses, wood dash with all new VDO gauges & switches, windshield & vent wing frames, convertible top bows, head, tail & parking lights, bumpers, trunk hinges & handle, grill surround & bars, 4 Keystone Chrome wire basket wheels, and every hinge, bracket & fastener needed to put it all together. This Healey Kit Car was designed to be built by utilizing a Mid-70's Mustang 2 for most of the donor parts needed including: V8 motor, transmission, rear differential, complete front suspension with rack & pinion steering and power disc brakes, radiator, hood hinges, center console & emergency brake. Included with this auction is a complete and running 1977 Mustang 2 with all of the before mentioned parts that are needed. Please Note: It does not have a title. I am now asking for less money than what the previous owner paid 30 years ago and I am throwing in the all important donor car that is needed to complete it. There are several fully finished Sebring Kit Cars out there from $20,000-$40,000 but this is probably the last NOS Untouched Kit left in the country. If you are into "Doing it yourself" & having it "Done to your satisfaction", then here is your golden opportunity to build a classic sports car for cheap money. It can still be registered as a new car. You are bidding to buy not to be the first one to look. If you need to examine this Healey project during the auction, you are more than welcome and I recommend that you do so. Please call 724 984 1659. I am not interested in any trades. I will deliver the entire Kit Car Project and the Mustang 2 within a 60 mile radius of Uniontown Pa 15401 for free. Thank you for spending the time to look and have a nice day.
