1969 AMC Hurst S/C Rambler Scambler Additional Info:

As you can see by my photos you are looking at an original 1969 Hurst SC/Rambler Scrambler. This automobile was bought new at the M & M Motor Company in Weston, West Virginia and has remained in the area ever since, having only 3 previous owners. The current owner bought this car and has had it stored inside his garage for the past 20 years with the hopes of restoring it back to its former glory. He has recently sold his business and is relocating and has asked me to represent the car for him.
This Rambler Scrambler is listed in the registry as # 865 of the 1512 that were originally built and has an "A" Paint Scheme. The car is mostly complete and is fairly clean and straight and not wrecked or missing many parts. The floor and trunk pans are solid & original and are not rusty or rotted out. The hood, doors & trunk lid all open, close and latch correctly. The clear window glass has no chips or cracks however the windshield is missing. For reasons unknown the drivers side front fender has been changed. The hood has its original Ram Air Flapper but is missing the outer hood scoop. The original "Bullit Style" outside mirrors were taken off but are included with the sale.
The black bucket seat interior with its red, white & blue headrests shows honest age & wear having some rips & tears and the 1 door panel is missing.
We do not know if the 390 engine is original to the car or not. It is a period correct and numbers matching 390 V8 having the right block, heads, intake & exhaust manifolds, etc. I do not have the original carburetor. The T-10 4-speed Transmission with Hurst Shifter and the 355 Posi Rear End appear to be original to the car. My engine stand is not included with the sale. The car rolls & steers but has no brakes.
If you have been searching for one of these "Rare & Unique" Hurst Rambler Scramblers to restore than here is your opportunity. This vehicle comes with a clean, clear West Virginia title and is ready to be transferred into your name.
Please understand, you are bidding to buy not to be the first one to look. If you need to examine this Rambler Scrambler you are more than welcome and I recommend that you do so. The car is stored in Fairmont, West Virginia 26554. I am not interested in any trades. To make arrangements to view the vehicle or ask any questions, please call Terry 724 984 1659.
A Non-Refundable deposit of $1,000 is due immediately after the auction with the balance due upon pickup of the vehicle within 7 days unless other arrangements have been previously agreed to.
Thank you for spending the time to look and good luck bidding!
