Vehicle: Loads of power and intense throttle response make this car a stock looking sleeper or weekend racer with some sticky tires. These cars are rarely seen on the road and always get a lot of attention. 1973 AMC Gremlin, Clean California title in my name, purchased the car 3 years ago and built it to its current condition. I have a copy of the title when I purchased the car from the original California owner. This car was built to the current condition using extra/spare parts in my inventory. This is not a numbers matching Gremlin. To put this car back to AMC original you would need a Gremlin engine cross member, transmission cross member and AMC drivetrain. The car is a runner driver, for me it is just a hot rod old school toy. I have been working on it for 1.5 years and have been driving it the last 8 months. I am ready to let it go because I have other toys. All receipts for parts and service are included. I cannot put any more $ in this car. The car is at a stage where you could finish it how you want it- leave as is, race car, street warrior, or put back to stock. Priced to sell.
ENGINE: Running 350 came from a previous Nova project- ( miles unknown). Here is what I know about the engine: 350 (1978) Chevy rebuilt .030 with mild cam, Aluminum Edelbrock heads (studded), Roller tip rockers, Aluminum intake, Holley 750 vac secondary, Mallory Unilite, Holley Red pump, Aluminum radiator, MSD coil, custom fabricated headers with 3” collectors, Flowmaster mufflers. Oil pressure 35lbs warm idle.
Transmission: Chevy Turbo 350 appears to have been rebuilt. Stock converter, Goes into gear without delay, firm shifts even from 2-3. Rachet shifter with reverse lockout. External trans cooler added.
Rear End: Ford (Ford Explorer) 8.8 Trac-lock posi with 3.55 gears, HD drum brakes, Brand new custom built balanced driveshaft with HD joints. Car has stock 14" radials- needssticky tires for better traction.
Body: Factory repainted (1 yr) single stage paint (Trans Am Red), aftermarket Gremlin X stripes. Refurbished grill, original glass, original bumpers, rear bumper brackets modified to reduce filler panel gap. All lights, reflector, mirrors same as when I purchased vehicle. Fuel tank professionally boiled out and interior coated for long life.
Chassis/Suspension: New KYB gas shocks front and rear. Power steering, Factory drum brakes new master cylinder. Some brake lines replaced. All springs and front suspension original except for replaced strut rod bushings. Factory wheels, hubcaps and 14” radials. Driveshaft safety loop installed.
Interior: Stripped out all flooring, applied POR-15 on surface rust areas. New carpet, bucket seat covers, cleaned interior. Dash pad has no cracks, Aftermarket stereo not hooked up, AC does not work, Aftermarket gauges, steering wheel, shifter, GM seat belts. Windshield Wipers, fuel gauge, oil, temp, volts, speedometer, heater and fan all operate. Heater core is brand new. Auxiliary Fuse block added under dash for future electronic needs.
Not Finished: Emergency brake cables need installed, recommend adding power brake unit or disc brakes. Stereo not hooked up. Front buckets need new upholstery, now have covers.
