1964 AMC Other 440H Additional Info:
1964 Rambler American 440H. Was originally a 196 inline 6 and three speed on the column. Still has the clutch pedal in the car. Years ago it was converted to a 401 4 speed and then later to a 401 TH400. The cars has the small body V8 crossmember and motor plates. It also has subframe connectors and drive shaft loop. It currently is sitting on a s10 rear end to be able to move it around. all the glass is good and 99% of the trim pieces are there. the car has very little rust. Bottom of the rear quarters and along the cross support in the front foot wells. The car has a bunch of filler where some one has filled some dents in stead of fixing them right behind both front doors but the metal is solid not rusted out. The previous owner started to widen the rear tubs and one side has been cut out but it is a clean cut and could be reinstalled easily. I also have four 401's, two AMC TH400's and a BOP TH400 short shaft to convert one of the AMC TH400s to RWD. Two of the 401's are long blocks that were running motors pulled from wagoneers that are .030 over. One 401 was the running 401 that was in the car and is .040 over. I removed the heads on all three to determine bore size and look at cylinder wall wear, and the last one is a standard bore short block. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction end and the remainder within 14 days.
