1963 AMC Rambler American 440-H.
Twin stick transmission.
Needs total restoration.
I bought the car 3 years ago. The man I bought it from had removed all the trim and welded the mounting holes up. I do not have trim that was removed or the front and back bumpers. It still has the original 440H badge. The drive train is original. I have changed it over to a Pertronix electronic ignition. It cranks up and runs good. I run it off a gas can because I have not cleaned the fuel system and did not want to pollute the system because it had old gas in it. one of the rear breaks was rusted and would not turn so I took it apart so that I could roll it around. The transmission will not engage, The shift linkage is disconnected. The body and frame is pretty solid, no rust thru that I have found. The interior is original except for the front buckets, they are from an import I believe. The doors open and closed good and the windows go up and down good. It basically need a good restoration. I do not believe it would take much to get it on the road. If there is something specific that you want to know just ask and I will check and do my best to answer I really do not want to sell it, but I damaged my back in the military and I am not able to work on it nor will I be able to drive it with a manual transmission.
